Rounding off the Redesign of Public Services (HPU) project

The project group rounded off the large-scale HPU project after a little over a year by presenting the final scenario to all library staff at two meetings in October. The members of the project group made several working visits to other libraries in the country to see how they anticipate their university’s changing demands. They also conducted literature searches as well as a small survey among students in the UB and the libraries of the faculties of Arts, Law, and Theology and Religious Studies.

The final scenario shows how the reorganization of all the floors in the UB has turned out and explains the reasoning behind some of the choices that were made.

Halfway through the HPU project came the news of the library merger, which meant that collections and teams would have to be moved to the UB (what will happen to GMW is still unknown). The project group had to anticipate this and creatively altered and adjusted some of their plans.

The final scenario serves as input for the Renovation follow-up project, which was launched immediately after.
