Gay Pride Day (‘Roze Zaterdag’)

On 2 July 2011, Groningen hosted Gay Pride Day (Roze Zaterdag, or Pink Saturday) The University Library also took part in this event: artworks by staff member Cora Euser were exhibited in the stairwell. The works feature literary quotations, such as those by Gerard Reve, shown in the photograph.

Photographer Ewoud Broeksma exhibited photographs in the fourth-floor stairwell, and Mayor Peter Rehwinkel was pleased to attend the opening.
